HALLOWEEN WEST END PREMIERE FOR NEW-FOR-’23 STAGE PLAY DO YOU BELIEVE IN GHOSTS?


London theatregoers are invited to celebrate Halloween experiencing hit touring stage show Do You Believe in Ghosts? as it enjoys its West End premiere at The Adelphi Theatre on Tuesday, October 31.

Fans of all things that go bump in the night are promised “an experiential ghost story, unlike anything you have ever experienced before” by the producers of the new-for-2023 play.  

Show creator James Taylor, of the UK’s leading theatre show producers Entertainers, guarantees “a haunting night at the theatre”.

He asks: “Are you feeling brave? 

“If you are, join us, and we tell you all the secrets of what goes on when the theatre goes dark. When the only thing to guide you is the Ghost Light.” 

The Ghost Light is a theatre tradition whereby stages are lit with a single light, even when there is no performance taking place that night. Tradition has it that it affords ghosts the opportunity to perform when the theatre is shut and, in doing so, keeps mischievous spirits away.

“We like to think of it as lighting the way for the ghosts who call the theatre their home,” says James.

“Audiences are asked to follow the rules: keeping their hands inside the car (so to speak). If they do, they will be safe, as Do You Believe in Ghosts? tells the tales that every theatre has to tell. . . ”



James promises the production will be packed with ghostly stories of those things that go bump in the night, or the day – and the things that just don’t add up.

“Or do they?” he adds. “There will be stories to take away with you. . . and perhaps experiences you might wish to remain at the theatre. 

“We will raise the hairs on your arms and send chills down the back of your neck. . . Join us for a dark night. We dare you!”

Do You Believe in Ghosts? Is a brand-new production for 2023 that is touring nationwide throughout the year.

Review: BRONCO BILLY at The Charing Cross Theatre, London

Review: SLEEPING BEAUTY at The Hawth, Crawley

Date: 9th December 2023  Seat: L3 (Stalls) Tickets: Gifted Rating: 5 Stars  You can’t get much more classic than Sleeping Beauty when it comes to the annual panto, and at The Hawth in Crawley this year, it’s this story that takes centre stage – but don’t worry if you think you’ve seen it all before; there are some fantastic surprises in store, including some rather impressive prehistoric pets, fire performers, and plenty of musical theatre references throughout.  Why musical theatre? Because two of the panto’s stars are West End performers with some notable credits to their names – that’s Carrie Hope Fletcher (who plays Carrie-Bosse) from such shows as Les Miserables and Heathers , and Scott Paige (The Good Spirit Moonbeam), who’s starred in The Great British Bake Off Musical and The Addams Family .
